Are you struggling with low mood or anxiety? Perhaps low self-esteem has always been a problem or maybe you find social settings a real struggle? Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) has a proven evidence-base in treating many psychological difficulties and teaches self-management techniques, helping you regain a sense of control and empowerment.
My name is Eilidh and I am a fully qualified Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist and accredited member of the British Association of Cognitive and Behavioural Psychotherapists (BABCP) in the UK. I am also a Psychiatric Nurse and have been working with individuals with various psychological problems for over 20 years, across a range of hospital and community-based settings. I am an experienced therapist who uses a range of CBT techniques on a daily basis with individuals experiencing difficulties including Depression, Anxiety Disorders, Trauma and Low Self-Esteem.
Alongside CBT, I also use approaches including Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Relaxation.
I offer face to face, video calling and telephone therapy.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have worked with adults with mental health problems since I turned 18: initially as a Nursing Assistant with Older Adults before deciding to train as a Psychiatric Nurse.
Formal qualifications
Diploma in Mental Health Nursing at Glasgow Caledonian University (1998)
Bachelor of Science in Community Nursing (Mental Health) at Glasgow Caledonian University (2005)
Post Graduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy at the University of Dundee (2016)

British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies
The BABCP is the lead organisation for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in the UK.
Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the practice, theory or development of CBT. BABCP also provides accreditation for CBT therapists.
BABCP accredited members adhere to the Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics in the Practice of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies, and are willing to be scrutinised in this adherence as required.

Fees
£45 per 55 minute session. Longer sessions can be arranged should this be necessary. If you are late for a scheduled session the appointment time will be reduced and you will still be charged the full amount.
Cancellations made up to 24 hours before the scheduled appointment will not be charged. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment will be charged at the full rate.
Payment is required at the end of each session via bank transfer or cash.
