About me

I wonder what’s bringing you think about therapy or counselling at the moment?

I imagine that you might be struggling or not feeling great and that you’re looking for things to be different. Perhaps you’re wanting to explore problems or issues in your life. You might be feeling anxious, experiencing low mood, depression, anger, sadness, grief or are looking for more meaning in your life. You might be finding it hard to cope at the moment and want to reach out for some support.

Through weekly therapy sessions, and exploring what’s going on for you within a warm, mindful and empowering relationship, I hope that you can start to see and experience things differently.

I draw on a range of psychotherapeutic approaches, so there are lots of different approaches we might use in our work together. The particular ones we will use will depend on you and the issues you bring to our sessions. As well as talking about how you’re experiencing your life at the moment, we might explore how you experience things in your body or your feelings, or how you experience your relationships at the moment, or work imaginatively, or with your dreams.

My approach is mindfulness and compassion based. Although we’ll be working with how things are now in the present, the roots of this may be in your experiences of relationships or events in the past or how you remember and think about the past. It might be that you haven’t had the chance to process what’s happened in the past and are looking to no longer be held back or defined by this.

I invite you to get in touch by phone, text or email and we can book an initial 30 minute appointment to discuss what’s going on at the moment and how about how therapy might help. There’s no charge for this initial appointment.

If you decide to go ahead with therapy, my suggestion is that we’d have weekly appointments of 50 minutes at the same time each week for an initial period of 6 weeks. We can then review whether that’s enough for now or whether you’d like to do longer term sessions.
