About me

My Approach

I work integratively, with a strong foundation in humanistic psychotherapy. At the heart of my practice is the belief that meaningful change happens in relationship — when you feel genuinely seen, heard, and understood.

I am a relational therapist. I value emotional honesty and connection, and I am not a closed book. Where it is helpful and in service of your growth, I may share my thoughts or reflections openly. Therapy with me is collaborative, grounded, and human.

Together, we might explore specific challenges, longer-standing patterns, identity, burnout, relationships, overwhelm, life transitions, or the impact of navigating systems that weren’t built with you in mind.

Neurodivergent-Affirming Practice

I have extensive experience working with neurodivergent adults, particularly those who have come to understand themselves later in life. Many of my clients are exploring identity, unmasking, burnout recovery, sensory overwhelm, or redefining life on their own terms.

My therapeutic space welcomes different communication styles, processing speeds, sensory needs, and ways of being in the world. There is no expectation to perform, mask, or fit a particular mould here.

I warmly welcome neurodivergent people - and anyone who may be struggling to navigate life, relationships, education, work, home and everything else!

Background & Experience

Alongside my psychotherapy training, I have worked in:

-Special educational needs education
-Pastoral care and student support
-University mentoring and mental health services
-Creative education, including music teaching

This background gives me particular insight into academic environments, learning differences, and the emotional realities of studying and growing within structured systems.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
