Integrative Transpersonal Psychotherapist (Dip.Psych, BACP)

About me

The psychotherapy I offer is integrative and transpersonal, meaning I adapt my approach to suit your individual needs and work collaboratively with you to create meaningful, lasting change - as efficiently as possible.

I trained for five years at the Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education (CCPE) in London, completing a psychiatric placement and in-depth study of humanistic, psychodynamic, existential, and Gestalt approaches. This broad foundation enables me to work confidently with complex issues such as addiction, trauma, ASD, ADHD, and personality difficulties.

Working transpersonally - literally, beyond the personal self - means recognising that many of our struggles originate in early conditioning rather than in surface thoughts or behaviours. I aim to help you address the root causes of anxiety and depression, not just manage the symptoms. My work may include somatic awareness, dream exploration, guided visualisation, and trauma release, guided intuitively by what feels right for you.

Alongside this holistic focus, I take a practical, grounded approach that explores how past experiences and family dynamics shape who we are today. Together we can challenge old beliefs and patterns to make space for something more authentic, compassionate, and whole to emerge.

My style is gentle yet direct. I offer compassion and clarity to help you see - and move beyond - whatever may be holding you back, supporting a deeper connection with yourself and with life.

Training, qualifications & experience

My Postgraduate Diploma in Integrative Transpersonal Psychotherapy (UKCP/BACP accredited) included extensive humanistic, psychodynamic and psychiatric training, as well as specialist work in trauma, inner child dynamics, Jung’s shadow, existential psychology and spiritual development.

As a Reiki practitioner, I’m attuned to the mind–body connection and how physical and emotional health are deeply intertwined. My training at the Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education (CCPE) emphasised working gently with the body to release difficult emotions and give expression to experiences that can feel beyond words - a particularly helpful approach for clients who sometimes “don’t know what to say.”

I have clinical experience within the NHS and with organisations including Sobell House Bereavement Service, The Listening Centre and The Maytree.

Alongside private practice, I also run workshops, write about mental health, and facilitate clinical discussion groups. As a BACP media spokesperson, I regularly collaborate with journalists on wellbeing-related features. For more information, please visit my website.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
