About us
Circle is a team of warm counsellors with an excellent local reputation and we have been helping clients for over 10 years locally. Our commitment is to providing warm, confidential, supportive spaces for you to get the support that you need.
We offer a welcoming, warm, safe, professional space for you to feel heard and explore what you need to. Our team are qualified counsellors and have an extensive range of experience in supporting adults, couples, children aged 4 upwards and young people. We specialise in counselling children aged 4 upwards.
We also offer low cost counselling. This is available for adults and young people aged 16 and over.
About us
We have been an established practice for ten years and are a trusted service in the three counties. We support adults, couples, children and young people. Our team have experience in various settings and have supported individuals with anxiety, low mood, depression, abuse, relationship issues, stress and loss of confidence, bullying, work place stress, self harm, loss and bereavement, family issues and other areas of support.
We have therapists at Circle who specialise in supporting children aged 4 upwards. We receive referrals from local GPs and schools based on our trusted reputation.
How we work
We are integrative trained therapists which means we draw on several theoretical models of working to allow flexibility in supporting you. These include the person centred model, CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), Transactional analysis (A model for looking at communication and relationships), and Psychodynamic (how early life experiences and relationships affect our behaviour and feelings in the here and now)
Adult One to One Counselling
Adult one to one counselling is at the heart of our service. Adults use our counselling services for a wide variety of difficulties and challenges.
We have supported adults with loss and bereavement, divorce, anxiety, panic, low mood and depression, relationship issues, dealing with illness including cancer, work stress, trauma and many more challenges.
Children and Young People
Our collective experience and specialised support with children and young people means we can support your child with a range of difficulties. As a practice we support local schools and provide therapy at their request.
We support children and young people with anxiety, low mood, self harm, suicidal ideation, trauma, illness, school challenges, school refusal and difficulties, bereavement, bullying, sexuality, family issues, and other needs from counselling.
Training & Development
We attend regular continual professional development and attend regular clinical supervision. We hold current DBS checks.

Training, qualifications & experience
Our team hold either level 5 or above Diploma qualifications in counselling and attend continued professional development in counselling.
We also offer low cost counselling with our counsellors in training (Terms & Conditions apply) Please do ask about this if financing counselling feels like a barrier to support.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Low cost counselling spaces are available with our therapists undertaking their Diploma Training. (Please contact us for availability) Available for one to one adult counselling and for young people aged 14 upwards.
Low cost sessions sliding scale from £15-£35
Initial Assessments are £65.00 for all counselling with exception of a couple assessment which is £85.00 and the low cost counselling service.
