About me
Individual Support
Valuing each client’s unique story. I understand that discussing painful or embarrassing topics can be challenging. Using a Person-centred talking approach, I create an empathic and non-judgmental space for exploration to help you feel heard and understood.
I have experience supporting individuals through issues like identity, infidelity, sexuality, sexual abuse, trauma, PTSD, and negative childhood experiences. I also work with those affected by recent diagnoses, ill health, and autism spectrum conditions, including ADHD. I aim to foster insight and healing by exploring personal challenges with curiosity. Understanding and addressing past experiences can help you grow and shape your future. With over ten years of training in complementary approaches, including trauma, attachment and loss theories to support those seeking to make sense of their past and its impact on their present relationships.
Often, clients who come for therapy have spent significant time taking care of others, some from a very early age. Why not take some time for just you? In such a busy competitive world, pausing for self-care and reflection can lead to better mental health. I understand therapy can initially seem costly, however investing time and space to understand yourself and how you are feeling makes a difference. By reading this far, you have already taken the first big step towards changing the way you feel.
Why not get in touch, and send me a message via email, text or WhatsApp? I offer appointments in-person sessions or video sessions. Take a look at my website for more information https://catherinewallage.uk/

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
