About me

Many of the people who find their way to my practice have been functioning, coping, and managing for years — often very well — while sensing that something inside needs attention rather than endurance.

My work respects your strength. Therapy here is not about dismantling competence, but about offering a place where you no longer have to hold everything together alone.

Many of the people I work with have been capable, self-reliant, and responsible for much of their lives. They often hesitate before seeking therapy — not because they are unaware of their struggles, but because they are unaccustomed to being seen as needing support.

About You

Sometimes we can find ourselves feeling misunderstood, out of place, or quietly alone — to others we may appear to be coping, but we know we need support.

I offer a thoughtful, integrative psychotherapy for adults who are navigating life, loss, change, or a growing sense that life no longer fits as it once did. This may include experiences that were forced rather than chosen — bereavement, relationship change, health shifts, or identity questions that emerge later in life.

Many people I work with are questioning neurodivergence, such as Autism or ADHD, or are coming to an understanding of themselves later than expected. Together, we can compassionately explore these questions at your pace, whether or not a formal diagnosis is part of your journey.

Therapy with me is collaborative and individually tailored. I pay close attention to your history, nervous system, and relational world, supporting you to make sense of what you are experiencing now — and to find steadier ground moving forward.

I welcome adults aged 18 and over, including those who are undiagnosed, newly aware, or exploring whether neurodivergence may be relevant to their experience.

About Therapy

Many of my clients have spent years adapting, compensating, and holding responsibility — for work, family, or others — while gradually losing a sense of ease within themselves. Therapy here is not about being pathologised or categorised, but about restoring clarity, steadiness, and self-trust. Whether your questions relate to neurodivergence, life transitions, or something harder to name, we begin where you are.

What kind of therapy do I offer?
I am an Integrative Psychotherapist, working with my clients to actively and empathically understand the issues affecting them, including their existing environment and its impact, and help them to find their confidence and freedom. Integrative psychotherapy allows for unparalleled flexibility in approach. It offers the opportunity for communication between myself and you to be opened up in a conversational way that can help you to gain understanding and acceptance as you move into a brighter future, at a pace that is appropriate to you. Integrative therapy is wholly adaptable and can be reactive as well as proactive in the work you feel you need to do at any given consultation.  Psychoanalytically there is also the opportunity for exploring who you are and gaining a richer sense of self awareness, influences and expectations, which is especially important if in training as a therapist oneself.

So, what is an Integrative model?
It is a type of training that allows a therapist to tailor the therapy more specifically to the client's needs. The therapist is trained in a number of theoretical areas, among them are theoretical areas such as transactional analysis (TA), cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), Gestalt, Person Centred Counselling.  Creativity can be applied in this therapeutic model and that allows for your creative expression to emerge too and to align with your regained sense of self, personal expression, and autonomy.

Integrative Psychotherapy means that different theories learned in training can be used independently or collectively, dependent upon your needs.  I have a natural and organic approach to my therapy inviting you to allow a free flow of thoughts shared into the therapeutic space,  and working together, conversationally, we find relief and understanding for you.   For example, If at the start, you have no desire to explore your childhood, then that is okay. If you then subsequently change your mind, that is okay too, and it can happen in a way which specifically meets your needs, because just as we have a unique DNA so our thoughts, teachings and memories are all unique too, and that means your therapy is as unique as you are.

At the heart of my therapy is the development of a faithful relationship between myself as the therapist, you as my client, and our developing understanding of your experience and your search for your agency in your truth. Therapy can bring some difficult subjects to the surface, known and otherwise unknown, but this exploration is part of your ability to make sense of your experiences, to come to terms with them and to understand them so that you can find comfort and value in your future.

Whichever therapeutic model is best suited to you, you will need to feel you can take the journey side by side with your therapist and feel that in the hardest of times they will know how best to help you make sense of it all.

As an integrative therapist I have the ability to apply the most effective approaches with your solution being my focus, supporting your unique requirements for transformation, acceptance, or simply understanding, and tailoring your sessions specifically to your needs as you progress.

The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
