About me

Hello my name is Carlene I am trained as an Integrative Counsellor trained in a range of approaches to facilitate client need.

I offer counselling for children, young people and adults and I have a broad range of working with mental health issues with over five years experience,

I am experienced in counselling those from primary school age through to adults. I have worked in school settings, working in a strength and system based approach for young people and their families.

I am Qualified in both Children and Adult work, I am an Accredited member of both BACP and NCS.

We all struggle to cope with life sometimes, and what I would like to remind you of, is that you don't have to walk this path alone,

I can help you understand your feelings, thought processes, enhance personal relationships, maintain healthy boundaries and help you create an understanding of why you feel and behave in certain ways.

In a world of what's wrong with you, I focus on what happened to you, and I hold on to hope and healing for everyone who walks through my doors.

I have always been a people's person and I genuinely care to help and support all of my clients and their families.

I have been on my own mental health journey and I have walked that path of vulnerability, I understand how hard the first step is.

But it is the bravest one and if there is one thing you can give yourself, its the power to be the best possible you,

I offer a safe and confidential space to explore your thoughts and feelings.  I believe I am a warm, genuine and a caring person, I can travel on this journey with you,

I am here for you, to help you understand and accept yourself because you are enough.

Please reach out if you would like to find out more information or have any further questions.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
