Pg.Dip Counselling and Psychotherapy

About me

Hello, I'm Annette, an experienced counsellor here to help with life’s difficulties.

I have supported many people get back on track, find a new direction or lead a more connected and fulfilling live. I work with you to help you to realise your goals and move towards living a more meaningful life.

We are living in very stressful times, maybe you are needing some help with managing your feelings around this. If so, I would be pleased to help you with that. In therapy you can get to know yourself a bit more and make choices about how you want to be in the world.

I have completed on 80 hour  course learning more about telephone and video working  and am happy to work via zoom or telephone. I am also offering to work face to face with the proviso that if circumstances change then I may revert back to remote counselling. This can be discussed more fully.

Working with me.

I  have extensive experience in working with EAP clients , Adult survivors of sexual abuse, Bereavement issues and social anxiety.

I have integrated my counselling and nursing experience of dealing with people who have health related issues such as chronic illness and also those people affected by cancer.

I am an Oldpain2go Practitioner and would welcome clients who have pain related issues such as fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, M.E and arthritis. I do not work with clients who have recent pain (ie; in the last 6 months) and I do require that the client has been to and received a diagnosis from their GP.

Please contact me and I offer a 15 minute consultation to discuss how we might work together.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
