About me

Are you ?

  • Dissatisfied with life, work, or relationships?
  • Feeling stressed or burnt out?
  • Struggling to let go of the past, or overwhelmed by past events?
  • Feeling flat, fed up, or unmotivated?

Are you also ?

  • Ready to move forward with more clarity, energy, and direction?
  • Wanting more confidence in your decisions and forward movement?
  • Curious to embark on a journey of self-discovery, connection, and empowerment?

Who I Work With

Clients come to me when they are feeling flat, fed up, unmotivated, stressed, and burnt out. They may be dissatisfied with life, work, or relationships, or feel overwhelmed by past events. They are often seeking a way to feel more connected and joyful. Many know that life could and should be better for them and that their mental health could be stronger, but they just cannot get there on their own.

I work particularly well with clients trying to find their place in a new life stage and individuals seeking healing from past trauma.

My Therapy Style

I am keen to get to know you, how you tick, how you think, and how you feel, and how it all pieces together for you. I want to understand things from your perspective.

I will listen, ask questions, and offer therapeutic insights, and together, free from pressure or expectation, we will explore new perspectives on your situation.

I will bring a listening ear, focused attention, and acceptance, allowing you to explore your challenges and find your 'ahh haa' moments, solutions and movements at your own pace.

I work with an eye on the past, present and the future, which means that we may explore how past experiences may be impacting you today, as well as how your current struggles are showing up, whilst also, importantly, keeping an eye on the future and the changes you want to welcome.

About Me

I am a reassuringly relaxed, ethical, and professional counsellor, therapeutic coach, and supervisor with over 15 years of training and experience.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Additional information

Initial conversation

I offer an informal Zoom discovery call to see if we can work well together. This can last up to 30 minutes and is not charged. There is no obligation on either side.

Starting Sessions

Future sessions are charged at £55 for 50 minutes (Inc VAT).

Most people notice positive changes within the first 5 sessions.

Counselling sessions take place weekly or fortnightly at a set time. Infrequent, ad hoc sessions are also available depending on availability.

I work in an open ended way - there is no set number of sessions. Some people come for a couple of months, others for over a year. We review as we go along
