About me

Hi there,

I’m Angela McDonnell MBACP.

As a highly experienced counselling and coaching professional, with over 15 years of training and experience across a broad range of therapeutic approaches, I can support you to make the positive life changes that you want for yourself.

I am currently offering sessions online via Zoom, and in-person in Manchester/Chorlton.

As a fully trained Counsellor and Coach, I am able to support you across the whole life terrain. We can work with what is troubling you right now and look towards the brighter future that you want for yourself...

The combination of counselling and coaching that I offer also allows for your therapy to move toward something more practical and proactive, where that is welcome...

What to Expect. What happens in a session ...

You will have the space to talk, explore, and gain new insights...

We will pause and reflect on your experience, and you will be supported to drop into the deeper layers of it all. I will not offer you solutions or answers, but I will support you to open into new perspectives, insights, and new layers of self-awareness...
I may also offer you resources or self-help practices to experiment within your therapeutic sessions, and also between sessions.  You may find yourself journaling, doodling, practicing mindfulness, EFT tapping, reading self-help passages, and more...

Am I the right person to help you ...

I think the only way to find out is to meet me and decide for yourself. If you're curious and ready to make that first small step, I'll be delighted to hear from you...

The process is very simple, just send me a quick email expressing your interest and I will respond with my current availability and we can take it from there...

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
