About me
Sometimes life can be challenging and you just need support to navigate those difficult times. If you are looking to take back control of your life and find a way forward and to design the life you dream of leading - a life filled with empowerment, fulfillment, and joy I can help you achieve this.
Working together face-to-face from my office in Hinckley, Leicestershire (or online if you prefer), I will provide you with all the support, tools, and techniques needed to navigate and manage these challenges effectively.
You do not need to be alone on this journey, and seeking help is a courageous step towards a happier and more fulfilling life. Let's work together to address these concerns and prioritise your mental and emotional well-being so you can live life to the full.
I have received training in various methods, which means I can combine different approaches to create a personalised experience just for you. In other words, I can adapt my methods to suit your specific needs and help you in the best way possible. Let's work together to find what works best for you!
With many years of experience, I offer individual and couples and family therapy services, addressing a wide range of concerns including:
- Anxiety, Depression, Grief, Self-esteem, Family dynamics, Stress, Trauma, and Relationship issues, including recovery from affairs.
What to expect on your first appointment.
The initial appointment is fundamental for both me and you to decide whether to work together. All clients are offered a free 20-minute telephone consultation where you can determine if I am the right therapist for you. It is important that you feel safe and secure and that you can trust me as your therapist for healing to begin.
Our first session will be for an hour. I will gather some initial background information and together we can explore what has brought you to therapy, how I can support you, and what you would like to achieve.
It’s also the opportunity for you to ask questions, find out more about the therapeutic process, talk about what you hope to get out of it and agree on a desirable outcome.
Individuals:
Individual therapy works not only for symptom reduction but also for personal growth and greater connection with the self and others. This kind of therapy enables clients to be more open and engaged with their inner experience and with other people—to be more alive. I am a fully qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) and can offer a program of CBT that has been proven to work very well in treating anxiety, depression, stress, and addiction.
Couples therapy:
Do you and your significant other feel like communication is a struggle, causing conflicts to become difficult to resolve?
Does it seem like you are drifting apart in your relationship?
Are you facing difficulties with managing your family's dynamics?
If you are, please know that you are not alone. Many couples go through rough patches, and it can be overwhelming and heart-wrenching. However, there is a glimmer of hope. As a couples therapist, I want to offer you a safe and understanding environment where you and your partner can work through your issues and strengthen your relationship. With my guidance, you can learn to communicate effectively, rebuild trust, and cultivate a deeper connection between you. Together, we can navigate the complexities that come with relationships and guide you toward a more fulfilling and harmonious partnership.
EFT is a method of therapy that aims to build secure relationship bonds between couples, families, and individuals through collaboration and structure in a relatively short time.
The therapy focuses efforts on helping couples and families overcome conflicts, and communication issues, and alleviate distress.
Our sessions are carefully crafted to facilitate the movement from distress to healing by transforming negative patterns of interaction into a safe emotional connection between intimate partners and family members.
Family Therapy.
EFFT, or Emotionally Focused Family Therapy, aims to create positive change within a family's negative interaction cycle. This is achieved by restructuring parent-child interactions and promoting a sense of security through new patterns of connection. Guided by the principles of attachment science, the EFT therapist helps the family develop healthier patterns of parental availability, responsiveness, and communication, especially when facing challenges and transitions. By addressing parental blocks and understanding the child or adolescent's behavior in terms of attachment needs and fears, EFFT strives to heal wounds and improve relationships. The therapist also recognises the intergenerational impact of mis-attunement and injuries within the family, guiding the family towards a more empathetic and understanding approach.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
