About me

Hi, I’m Andrea.

Many people contact me when anxiety or depression start to take over — constant worry, overthinking, feeling on edge, struggling to switch off, or feeling overwhelmed by work and everyday life. When joy fades and everything feels like “too much,” it can be hard to know where to turn.

I take these experiences seriously, but I also believe therapy doesn’t have to feel heavy at every step. My aim is to offer a calm, steady space where you can breathe, feel understood, and begin to find your way forward again.

Over the years, I’ve supported people through all kinds of challenges, including anxiety, stress, low self‑esteem, relationship problems and feeling stuck. Together, we look for ways to make things feel a little lighter and more manageable, whether that’s understanding your patterns, calming your nervous system, or finding small shifts that bring relief where something finally clicks.

I work with clients in Hinckley, Leicestershire, Warwickshire and online across the UK and internationally, supporting people who want to reduce anxiety, feel more grounded, and move forward with confidence.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a cornerstone of my approach. It’s a well-researched, evidence-based therapy recommended by the NHS as the primary treatment for anxiety and depression. CBT helps you understand how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours are connected, and equips you with practical tools to change patterns that no longer serve you.

That said, my style isn’t prescriptive or confined by NHS protocols — I work independently, blending CBT with relational, emotionally focused, and systemic therapies to tailor our work uniquely to you. This flexibility allows me to support you in ways that feel authentic and effective, helping you achieve better, lasting results.  You will set goals for yourself of what you want to achieve and we will work towards these so you can measure your progress.

Whether we meet in my cosy Hinckley office or online from wherever you feel most comfortable, you’ll be met with kindness, respect, and a genuine commitment to your growth. I support individuals, couples, and families dealing with anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, addiction, and relationship challenges — as well as those simply wanting to reconnect with themselves.

My approach is collaborative and supportive. While anxiety doesn’t shift overnight, you won’t just be talking about your experiences — you’ll also be learning practical tools to help calm your mind, reduce overwhelm, and manage day‑to‑day stress. These skills sit alongside deeper therapeutic work, giving you both understanding and something concrete to use between sessions and believe it or not even some laughs along the way.

Clients often describe feeling more in control, more hopeful, and more able to manage their anxiety, which enables them to do more of the things they love with the people they love.

If you’re ready to feel more grounded, more hopeful, and more like yourself again, I’m here to support you. Let’s take that first step together — with kindness, a little laughter, and create change that lasts.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
