About me
Hello and welcome to my profile. I am a warm and approachable counsellor and therapist and can support you with any struggles and difficult times you might be going through, so you don't have to struggle alone.
I can also help you in your desire for personal growth and change, and to gain a deeper understanding of yourself.
My specialist areas are supporting you with issues to do with your relationships and attachment style, family and parenting problems, your sense of identity, low self esteem or lack of confidence, feelings of sadness, anxiety and depression.
I am also here to help you cope and adjust to new challenges and changes in your life, either those that you have chosen or those which are unwanted and were not part of your plan. These important life transitions might include divorce, affairs, redundancy, menopause, fertility issues, empty nest syndrome, bereavement and many other transitions which we can face in life.
Together, we can help you move into the future with new tools and courage, a greater sense of acceptance and an increased ability to cope; and often a greater sense of joy, direction and ability to thrive instead of just survive.
I see clients from all walks of life and everyone is welcome. Please get in touch to chat through what it is you want to address and how I can help you get there.
I have a warm and relaxed style and will help you get a clearer understanding of the problems which are causing you pain or stopping you from being the person you want to be.
You don't have to be in pain to begin therapy, but you might. Either way, please reach out. Together we can go at your pace over time to explore any issues. You don't need to go through it alone.
Specialist support in cosmetic and plastic surgery:
In addition to my work above, I am also the Resident Counsellor at The London Scar Clinic in Harley Street, where I work as part of a multli -disciplinary team of consultants and provide psychological support to patients who are affected by a wide range of scars, including self-harm and scars from burns, accidents and attack and skin-picking disorders.
I am also the Resident Counsellor at 152 Harley Street, where I provide psychological assessments and therapy for patients who are wanting to explore their reasons for having cosmetic and plastic surgery.
You are welcome to get in touch with issues relating to your body image, if you are considering cosmetic surgery and do not know if it is right for you, or if you are struggling with underlying struggles which are resulting in self-harm.
How therapy can help you:
We will work together to explore the causes of your feelings and issues so that you can make sense of them and find new ways of coping and behaving which brings you closer to the person you want to be and the life you want to lead. The focus will be on you, your needs and your best interests in a way that is not possible to achieve from chatting with friends and family.
Additional areas I can help with:
- Self-harm
- Body Image issues
- Learning how to identify your needs and ask for them to be met with confidence, practicing being more assertive
- People-pleasing issues
- Sadness, loneliness, depression and anxiety
- Dating in the modern world and online dating
- The effects of retirement or redundancy
- Feeling lost and stuck in life
- Coping with unwanted feelings and worries
- Wanting a new perspective on life
- Unlocking your potential and getting more fulfilment from life
- Unresolved childhood wounds
- Working through old pain
- How your past might be negatively affecting your present
- Feelings of Loss and Regret
- Shame and guilt
- Starting over after divorce or separation
- Privileged neglect and boarding school syndrome
- Putting healthy boundaries in place
You might have clear ideas of the areas you want to explore, or you might feel there is no single issue, but rather a sense that things could be better. Looking at this in therapy can be transformational.
How we will work together:
As an integrative therapist and counsellor, I draw on different approaches to suit your unique needs and preferred ways of exploring your situations, problems and relationships. We will set clear goals to address certain themes in your life and regularly review your aims and progress. Where appropriate I will gently and sympathetically challenge your irrational or unhelpful thinking to focus you on the conflict between your attitude and your goal. I will not give you advice but will help you find the answers and clarity you need to find the answers for yourself.
Therapy should be flexible to fit in with your lifestyle, so don’t worry if your life means that meeting face to face is tricky. Research shows that online therapy is just as effective as face to face. You are welcome to select the method which suits you best, or to blend face to face, online and telephone sessions in a way that works for you
What happens next?
It's easy. Get in touch by phone or email to arrange a time to have an initial complimentary 15 minute chat about what it is you want to look at and I can answer all of your questions. If you want to go ahead, you can choose your weekly therapy session and we can get started.
I look forward to hearing from you and to supporting you.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
