About me

Are you feeling overwhelmed by self-doubt or low self-esteem? Do you find it hard to express your true thoughts and feelings? Are you facing challenges in building and maintaining healthy relationships? If you often feel disconnected from others and struggle to form meaningful connections, you are not alone.

These struggles may stem from past experiences, emotional patterns, or interpersonal skills. However, therapy is very much an individual process and working towards empowering self-awareness, self-acceptance, and confidence is key.

I will listen to the experiences you bring of early life, behaviours, feelings, and the emotions that impact your present actions with understanding and acceptance. I work with a wide range of concerns, including race, ADHD, identity, trauma, anxiety, depression, isolation, and the difficult dynamics that can form within families and relationships.

I offer a non-judgmental space where you can explore, grow, and gain clarity as you connect and attune with the world and energy around you. I bring my experience of life and relationships to support a collaborative environment where your unique identity and personal history are honoured, shaping a path toward healing and harmony.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am an integrative counsellor who transitioned professionally from central government strategy work to higher education lecturing and corporate consultancy in the City of London before completing my counselling training at the Minster Centre in London.

I have completed an 18-month training certificate in African Psychology.

In addition to my counselling work, I currently facilitate anxiety and neurodiversity awareness workshops, and I also host regular online support groups for neurodivergent people.

My research interests include social responsibility, racial identity and neurodiversity.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
