About me

Hello and welcome to my profile. I'm an accredited, qualified counsellor. I work is online and telephone.

I work with couples and individuals with whatever issues that may be preventing them from leading the life they desire.

Betrayal is a harsh reality and many couples believe once trust is broken it's hard to get back but if the want is there then the work can get results.

I also work with  anxiety, bereavement, addiction, divorce and depression, adoption, abuse, anger, family issues and low self-esteem.

I am known for my warm caring nature, receiving many referrals from clients I have worked with previously who recommended me to their friends and work colleagues.

I offer a safe confidential space for you and your partner to receive confidential empathic support to get your relationship(s) back on track.

My core foundation is Person Centred and on this I have added, an Advanced Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy(CBT) from  Warwick University. and offer CBT therapy for clients requiring a more structured way of working.

I have trained at Harrow College gaining a certificate in Family and Coupes work in Person Centred  Approach.

I went on to train at Hull University to Intermediate level in Systemic Family Therapy and  worked for over ten years for the NHS as part of a Systemic Family therapy team based in Grimsby. The team offered therapeutic support whilst working within the community mental health team covering a wide range of issues, to couples and families in the N.E. Lincs area.

My previous experience includes working with special need children and as a Residential Social Worker within Buckinghamshire Social Services and with Families in a Family Centre.

I also previously worked in a Post Adoption Service, providing counselling and support to adult adoptees and birth parents. This included counselling support to both parties before their reunions. I am an accredited Adoption Counsellor linked to Barnardo's so I can offer this service to individuals in the community.

I have many years experience of working for Employees Assisted Programmes (EAPs') with several major EAPs. This work is time limited to usually 6-10 weeks.

My aim is to work with all the relationships in your life, to help you achieve the outcome you desire. I am the navigator in the journey to a better life.

I offer a non judgmental, empathic counselling relationship that is built on respect and trust that leads to a deep understanding that will enable you to make the changes in your life that you looking to make.

I trained with the late Tony Merry in supervision and I offer supervision to qualified practising counsellors.

Why not contact me via my mobile phone via text or email for further information or an informal discussion.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
