Tina Rawlings
About me
I am an empathic and experienced Psychosynthesis Therapeutic Counsellor, with 20 years experience of working with individuals, couples and relationship issues within families, where there have been emotional distress, trauma and loss. This includes working in various settings such as Primary Care, Private Practice, Substance Mis-use and Addiction Treatment Services. My main fields of work and interest are in helping others to discover their true selves and move beyond their difficulties. I facilitate improved relationship with self and others, increased self-knowledge, self-esteem and coping strategies, along with better communication and reconnecting with purpose, meaning and value in life after difficult times, whenever that has been.
I like to include creative methods of self expression, such as art making and writing, in our work together. This can include connecting with the outside and animals, as well as talking, as a means to self discovery. I am experienced in helping those to recover from all addictions, including behavioural ones, such as, eating dis-orders and gambling, and obsessive compulsive disorders.
I work gently and kindly with those who are recovering from complex issues of grief and loss, trauma and childhood abuse and low self worth. I will adjust the pace of work to suit you, always being guided by you, and sensitive to your individual process and journey. Together it is my experience that you can move towards re-connecting with the person you were always meant to be and to reconnect with who you really are. Equine Facilitated Therapy, (where horses help people with their well-being and mental health - no riding is involved), locally to Hertford can be part of the therapy offered.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
