Yvonne D Hines MA, BA, Dip.couns, MBACP
Hello. Have you been thinking about attending counselling but not sure who to attend with? I hope by sharing what you can expect from me, will help you to make a decision.
I have experience counselling adults, married couples, groups and secondary school students in an alternative school setting who have been excluded from mainstream schooling. I also have sixteen years’ experience working with individuals experiencing a range of mental health issues.
You may have considered counselling in the past, but may have decided against it due to feelings of guilt, shame and/or embarrassment. If you decide to attend counselling with me, you can expect a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space to share your thoughts and feelings that may not be possible with family and friends. Taking the time to talk through things that you are struggling with, can often help with helping you to understand the difficulty and manage how you are feeling. It also provides an opportunity to explore and develop strategies to cope. I will not give you advice, but help you to make your own choice.
I am passionate about what I do and I take great joy in watching people’s lives being changed for the better, as they engage in the counselling process. I believe irrespective of background and issues faced each individual deserves and can achieve a more fulfilling life.
Please do not hesitate to contact me to enquire about the counselling I offer. You can then decide if you would like to book a no fee consultation. I understand that making a decision about who you will share your feelings and information with may be a challenging one. By attending a consultation you will have an opportunity to explore your needs and expectations. It will also be an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have and I will take you through the way I work.
If you are finding it difficult to decide whether counselling is for you or if now is the right time, why not contact me to discuss further. I may be with a client when you phone, so please leave a message and I will contact you within 24 hours.
