Seeking therapy shows courage in the depths of conflict and unknowing. Sometimes, coping independently with life’s difficulties can seem very hard. In a busy world, it can be difficult to find people with the time, willingness and objectivity to lend a sympathetic ear.
As a licensed and trained individual and couple psychotherapist, I can offer you much more than just a listening ear. I bring understanding, compassion, and empathy to our sessions, creating a robust therapeutic setting where you can feel truly understood and valued. My caring, compassionate character is dedicated to assisting others in conquering inner conflicts amidst the external realities that hinder their mental health and well-being and prevent them from achieving their goals.
With my extensive expertise and training in counselling and psychotherapy from Tavistock Relationships, a wealth of experience working with individuals and couples, and other additional training, I am well-equipped to help you address a wide range of issues that may affect how you deal with life's challenges and opportunities for yourself and your relationships.
In working with individuals and couples, I have learned that no problem or situation is the same, thus requiring a unique examination and curiosity to determine what may be happening underneath the surface to resolve what is happening in the here and now.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a Psychodynamic Psychotherapist with specialist experience working with couples and individuals experiencing relationship and personal difficulties. I have been specifically trained in couple therapy at the internationally renowned Tavistock Relationships, a leading institute for psychotherapy and relationships. I have a certificate in working with divorced and separated couples.
I am also trained in Mentalization-based Therapy, Couple Therapy for Depression, Multi-systemic Therapy, and Prolonged Exposure Therapy for PTSD. I have facilitated several groups for together and separated couples (Parents as Partners), supporting how they can reduce the parental conflict impacting their children.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

The first session can come with a lot of anxiety and worry about what seeking therapy will mean for yourself and any significant relationship you may be in.
Together, we will think about your presenting issue and any relevant history. You can ask questions about the therapy and hear about my way of working.
After the session, you will have time to consider whether we would be a good fit to work together. Once you decide, we will book sessions together.
