Has Today become too much? Yesterday won't go away? Tomorrow looks like being the same?
It doesn't have to be like this.
I offer a Welcoming, Professional, Qualified, Experienced, Ethical, Confidential and effective service in Stoke-on-Trent.
I have fifteen years of experience, have seen many hundreds of people, with just about every issue. I use an Integrative approach and have worked extensively with both time-limited counselling and longer term psychotherapy. I work in private practice with individuals and with a variety of companies and charities. I also work as a supervisor and supervision consultant to other practitioners. I adhere to the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy.
Counselling and Psychotherapy
Making the move towards counselling or psychotherapy takes real courage. Countless people think it was one of the best things they ever did. It is genuinely confidential and non-judgemental. It is supportive but offers challenge, too.
I use a variety of approaches depending on what suits you: you'll be treated as a person, not a problem. I work five days a week, daytime and evenings. Sessions last an hour, once a week is usual but not always.
The difference between counselling and psychotherapy is not easy to summarise and there is a degree of overlap. The question of what you might need is best discussed with your therapist.
Are you right for me?
The way to find out is to arrange a First Meeting. This will give us a chance to decide how therapy might help and make arrangements for further sessions if we decide to go ahead. I offer individual counselling and psychotherapy only, not counselling for couples, coaching, nor hypnotherapy.
