About me

I am a qualified, person-centred counsellor. I am enjoying the privilege to accompany, my clients, on their journey to self-discovery, growing self-esteem, overcoming struggles and starting on their new journey. I am passionate about working with people that have experienced trauma.

I understand that before starting the counselling:

You might be surrounded by people and still feel alone. You might be screaming in a roomful of people and still not be heard. You might spend a big part of your life trying to fit into somebody's frame but still not feel enough or your true self. You might feel that something is not right, even though you can't put the finger on it, but still know it doesn't feel right. The path to finding yourself, thriving, making a change, and building connections with others could be unfamiliar and even scary.

I have learned that painful and traumatic experiences do not fade or shrink with time. With the right support, we can outgrow it.

Let me be there for you while you open those doors to past experiences that you haven't felt safe doing for so long or didn't want to burden those close to you.

Training, qualifications & experience

Person-centred Counselling (Hons) - University of Brighton

Person-centred counselling Foundation degree - University of Brighton

I have experience working with a wide range of topics, like sexual and domestic abuse, anxiety,  self-harm, suicidal thoughts, low self-esteem, PTS and spirituality

Working with me, you will be able to unload with no judgment or need for approval from me or others, a space you won't need to please anyone or fit their view, only yours. I will offer a warm and safe space where you will be able to discover what is best for you and only you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
