About me

About me

I am a UKCP/MBACP registered Gestalt Psychotherapist and I have been working in various

therapeutic settings with adults, children and adolescents for the last ten years in private

practice as well as a part of a multidisciplinary team in organisations.

I gained an MSc and Diploma in Gestalt psychotherapy from Middlesex University and Diploma

in Psychotherapy from Metanoia  Institute, London, one of the leading training centres for

counsellors and therapists in Europe.

To deepen my professional practice I worked as one of the assistant tutors on a MSc in Gestalt

psychotherapy course in Metanoia Institute and as a counselling therapist in a community

school in west London.

I also facilitated and co-facilitated workshops on stress reduction, mindfulness and body

process.

Gestalt training opened the door for me to the path of self-development and connection to the

wider community. I have been participating in creative movement classess/workshops on a

regular basis as well as meditation courses across Europe and I have been meditating reguraly

which brings me to a quieter place within myself and enriches my work with clients

Integrating these practices into my life and therapeutic practice supports and grounds me as

well as offers me a direction in my development as a Gestalt practitioner.

About Gestalt Psychotherapy

Gestalt therapy focuses on gaining awareness of the present moment in the present context.

In therapy, we learn to discover feelings/emotions that may have been suppressed

(depressed) or masked by other feelings (behavours, anxieties, for example) and to accept

and trust ourselves.

Therapist may use creativity in their approaches, depending on context and each person's

personality. In Gestalt psychotherapy there is an emphasis on direct contact between therapist

and client as well as direct experience sometimes reffered to as the focus on the “what and

how" and the “here and now' of the therapeutic situation.

There is growing evidence showing that Getsalt is an effective approach in reducing symptoms

of depression and anxiety on a long term basis.

About the therapy process:

I will offer you the opportunity to feel welcomed just as you are and to explore issues in a

compassionate and non-judgemental environment where you'd be able to gain more

awareness about yourself and the wider world.

We will meet for an initial consultation where we will discuss your needs and decide what

would be the best treatment option for you.

You will be able to foster conditions needed for change in order to lead a more full and

satisfying life.
