About me

My name is Trudi Mason, I am an Accredited member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists, I am a fully qualified and experienced Counsellor, I have been in practice for the last fourteen years. I am qualified to work with Children, Adolescents, Adults, Couples and Families. Alongside my private practice I work as the the Counselling Manager at Weymouth College, I am also a registered practitioner with Relate Dorset and South Wiltshire.

I offer an empathic, non judgmental confidential space to allow you to explore issues which may be causing you difficulties. All our stories and experiences are unique to us as individuals. Counselling gives you the space to breath, reflect and explore patterns of relationship behaviour, to explore trauma past or present issues, that you may have coped with previously but now feel are overwhelming.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

I do offer reduced rates for clients on low income. (limited availability)

When I work

I offer sessions during the day, with limited evening and Saturday morning sessions available.

Further information

I offer sessions in Weymouth and also on Portland. Sessions are by appointment only.

Clients ideally attend weekly sessions as this is the most effective way to benefit from the work.

A commitment to regular attendance is required to gain the maximum benefit from he work.
