About me
Hello, I am Tanya and I offer you a warm welcome.
I work with individuals facing a wide range of challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma & past experiences, relationship dynamics, self-worth, personal growth, overwhelm and dysregulation.
Therapy is a collaboration. I will listen to your needs, help you reflect on your experience and support you in creating a path forward that feels authentic to you. No two people are the same and so together we will explore what works best for you, ensuring your therapy is as unique as you are.
I offer a supportive environment where you will be heard and accepted without judgement. Being with someone who will listen without offering opinion or advice can help you to work out ways to make changes, however big or small.
Being an integrative therapist trained in CBT, psychodynamic and person-centred theory, it allows me to draw on those elements which would be most helpful for you. I have additional qualifications in trauma-focused therapy and can introduce trauma informed strategies where appropriate.
What are the next steps?
If you feel ready to take the next step, I offer a free introductory chat (15 minutes) on the telephone where we can get to know each other a little and where you can briefly say what brings you to counselling. If after that you feel you would like to arrange an initial session, we can then take it from there.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Additional information
- Free initial introductory telephone chat (15 minutes)
- Initial session - 50 minutes. This session is where we carry out an initial assessment, which includes going through your history, living/work/social situations, and where we see if we both feel we can work together going forward. This is a very important initial step, as central to effective therapy is the relationship between client and therapist.
- All subsequent sessions are 50 minutes
