About me

Do you know you're OK as you are?

Do you have a sincere desire, and curiosity to know yourself?

Our life’s experiences impact us in various ways, both positively and negatively, and they can determine the people we become and the relationships we form.

In our work together, you will be encouraged to look with curious and non-judgemental eyes when exploring your behaviours, defence mechanisms, as well as encouraged to embrace your repressed power, and discover your belief systems, (mostly created when very young), which can unknowingly govern your life.

Insights gained from these observations, combined with being in dialogue with your body and developing an understanding of your dreams and your body’s guidance, will enable you to make more conscious choices, and thus live a more inspired and fulfilling life. Making better choices generates improved mental, physical, and emotional health, and an integrated sense of well-being.

Once we gain insight, it’s not enough to know something in our mind, we need to embody this awakening, and in turn this will help us remember who we truly are, and to see the world and our place within it clearly and absolutely. Hence my practise ‘Embody Insight’ derives from my belief in the wisdom our bodies hold, which is available to us in any moment.

Do you know…

When we do not recognise or acknowledge our worth, we are breaking down our immune system.

When we criticise ourselves or have self-doubt, we are breaking down our immune system.

I also encourage my clients to record their dreams, which provide guidance and reveal sincere information of where we are in our lives, the issues we need to explore next, and what is required from us to move towards a more fulfilling life.

With so much going on in our lives, be it personally or collectively, we can have many questions that though important at any time, are more so in our world today.

How do you retain your centre and balance despite your environment and the events happening around you?

Do you live your life from your heart, or your wounds?

Although you may feel overwhelmed and experiencing anxiety, low self-esteem, self-doubt, depression, or stress, Remember, Reconnect, and Reclaim who you truly are. You are a whole, creative, and unbroken being with an earthly & spiritual nature.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have been a practising psychotherapist since 1997, having trained at CCPE, (Centre for Counselling & Psychotherapy Education), and working one to one with adults. I work online and from home, which is in a quiet Central London square close to London Bridge, where there is accessible controlled parking nearby and public transport.

For over four decades, I have also worked with children & younger adults in education, and the arts. I have an enhanced DBS.

My psychotherapy training was an integrative modality with a transpersonal element, incorporating a broad range of theories of psychology, psychotherapy, and models of development. I continue to study theories of psychology, bodywork, breathwork, The Dream, as well as spiritual disciplines, philosophy, and attend workshops, seminars, courses throughout the year, with the focus on becoming more conscious and living a more fulfilled life.

I continue my own personal therapy and supervision, plus attend workshops with renowned mystics, authors, philosophers, & psychotherapists, who influence my own therapeutic journey.

My CPD, (Continuing Professional Development), includes a variety of studies and disciplines as described above, including studying Process Orientated Psychology, Narcissistic Relationships, Attachment theories,  Experiential Anatomy, Authentic Movement, Self-Enquiry through writing, and Tai Chi & Qigong. Dance has also been an important aspect in my life.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Other areas of counselling I deal with

I am skilled in working with people who are in, or have been in, narcissistic relationships, and suffered trauma bonding and who would like to explore the deep affects this has had on their life, their interaction with the world, how they view themselves, and their life’s choices.

I also work with people who are interested in their dreams and curious about the guidance their dreams can give them.

Further information

How to begin

The primary contact can be made via phone, or email. Together we will decide a mutually agreed date and time for the initial session. (If required, a free 30 minute zoom or phone session is available.) Once you have decided to continue the therapeutic relationship, a client assessment form will be emailed to you and asked to be returned with payment, prior to the next session.

During the first psychotherapy session, I will inquire about current issues in your life, including what brings you to therapy at this point, and what you hope to achieve from being in therapy. Once you have discussed your presenting issues, we can decide on what basis you would like to proceed. A good therapeutic relationship between the therapist and client is essential for the therapy to be of benefit.

I have an interest in the following

  • The wisdom of The Body, be it symptoms or sensations
  • Narcissistic personality disorder
  • Trauma bonding
  • Anxiety and Attachment disorders
  • Analysing The Dream, which has been immeasurably influenced by my own personal therapy with Anthony Lunt, and Anna Lunt.
