About me
Hi, I am Ellie, a qualified Person Centred Therapeutic Counsellor offering counselling to adults in Northampton and the surrounding area, either online or via the telephone. I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy.
Seeking counselling can sometimes feel daunting, let alone the thought of sharing your worst fears or even something you’re not even sure about with someone you don’t know yet.
I offer a safe space for you to explore whatever it is that you need to work out. It may be current life uncertainties, a need to understand your feelings, help to make sense of your past or what makes you who you are. You may be searching for answers that your logic tells you that you will never get, so maybe a level of acceptance may be all you can hope for. Life may seem so challenging, it’s so difficult
I seek to create an environment and relationship of trust, respect and curiosity, to learn and understand your world in it’s entirety. I may gently challenge and may help with different perspectives. You will feel supported in your journey to help unravel the uncertainties or to help heal, change, grow or develop.
I offer long or short term therapy. Sessions are 50 minutes long to hopefully suit your lifestyle.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
