About me

Welcome. If you've found yourself here, then you've taken the courageous decision to start your therapy journey.  When it comes to choosing a therapist, it is important to trust your instincts, so if you find that you connect with what I have written here then please do get in touch.

About Me

I am a transpersonal integrative psychotherapist (BACP registered) with a passion for working creatively and connecting with my clients. I believe that the relationship between therapist and client is at the heart of therapy.

I will sit with you and listen with empathy and openness, providing a safe space in which to explore your experiences, thoughts and feelings. Together we may notice patterns, find meaning and new perspectives. Sometimes therapy involves sitting with what is, without seeking to change it. Through this process, you can discover your strength and resilience, moving toward a more authentic way of being in the world.

Therapy can help to peel back the layers of conditioning and wounding and help us to access and embrace our true soul nature. When we are able to live and make choices which align with our true self, it can lead to greater fulfilment and an increased sense of wellbeing and empowerment.

What is Transpersonal Integrative Psychotherapy?

'Transpersonal' literally means beyond the person, and working with this lens means recognising that there is a spiritual dimension underpinning everything. In practice, this means that I work holistically with clients, including mind, body, emotions and spirit. I invite exploration of unconscious influences through the use of creative imagination. This can involve working with dreams, visualisations, drawing or using objects to represent elements of a real situation you’ve encountered.

Integrative therapy refers to the blending of different approaches. I work in a very relational and person-centred way, and I like to work collaboratively to find the best approach for each client. I may have skills and tools, but you are the expert in you, and what you bring to therapy is of great value.

What to expect from a therapy session

At the beginning of the process, I offer a free 20 minute phone call. This is an opportunity for us to chat and see if we might like to work together, and for you to ask any questions you may have about the therapy.

If you would like to go ahead, we can schedule an initial session. I will also send you my contract and GDPR information, and you will have an opportunity to discuss anything that comes up for you. During the first session, I will ask you for some more information about yourself and what you would like to gain from therapy.

If you would like to explore things further, please email me to arrange a phone call and discuss availability.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
