About me
Hello, I'm Siobhan. I'm an experienced Clinical Psychologist. I'm trained to work with people of all ages, using a range of psychological techniques. If you're looking for someone who can offer you an open space to talk things through, I may be able to help. I offer assessments and therapeutic interventions to people who are experiencing some kind of psychological discomfort that prevents them from living life to its fullest.
I understand that looking for support is daunting - it can be hard to know what it is exactly that you are looking for, or where to find it. If you have accepted that you are being held back by something and want help with moving through it, I can offer a safe space to think and talk things through. I work online, so location is not a barrier. I can offer a free, 15 minute consultation so that you can meet me and we can think about whether I am a good fit for you.
Training, qualifications & experience
I completed by Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 2014. Since then, I have completed additional training in models including (but not limited to): Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT); Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR); and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT).
I have worked in a range of settings, including both mainstream and specialist schools, community mental health teams, secure inpatient wards, forensic units, the NHS and Social Care.
I am experienced in working with children, adolescents, working age people and older adults. I adapt my approach to suit individual differences (e.g. learning issues; neurodivergence; cultural needs) and take the time to fully understand the person I am working with.

school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.

Further information
My main area of interest is neurodiversity. In my NHS role, I lead a Neurodevelopmental Pathway in a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service in Central London. I provide mental health support to people who experience psychological/emotional/relational difficulties alongside their neurodiversity. I have a good understanding of how to adapt my approach to meet the needs of people with Autism and ADHD.
I have completed doctorate-level research into the experiences of teenage-girls with Autism, and have gone onto co-author chapters in a textbook on gender differences in the Autistic population.
