About us
Hello, my name’s Michelle and I am a Chartered Psychologist and Integrative Psychotherapist. Together, we can make meaning of personal loss, help you to better cope with the difficulties you are facing, address any work challenges you are experiencing, or have relationships.
Due to my experience and my qualifications, I can assist you to better understand, accept, and be compassionate towards yourself; gain insight into behaviours and patterns you may have and ways you can resolve them, reduce your stress levels, address occupational issues and improve your relationship with yourself and others.
I work from an accepting, non-judgemental and compassionate approach, as I understand that people sometimes find sharing and exploring personal experiences and problems difficult.
My personal theoretical integrative approach includes compassionate-focused and trauma informed theories within a relational framework which allows us to collaborate together to empower you to better regulate your emotions, understand, accept and tolerate your feelings, thoughts and behaviour and achieve therapeutic change.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a Chartered psychologist and Psychotherapist and have been in practice for over 17 years. My experience ranges from various issues such as bereavement/grief, trauma, domestic abuse, postnatal depression, homelessness, personality disorders, mental/physical health problems, issues with alcohol, substances as well as work difficulties.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
