About me

Hello and welcome. We all need some help in life and as a qualified and accredited counsellor, I am here to support you and work with you in any areas causing distress. You are not alone. You may be feeling incomplete. We can work together to understand your difficulties and work towards you feeling 'complete' again. We can strengthen your mental health, using integrative therapy. I provide warm, empathic, non-judgemental, confidential counselling and walk alongside you on your journey.

You may be a young person or adult experiencing difficulties and feel as if you're struggling to cope. I specialise in counselling young people and adults and would welcome the opportunity to support you at this challenging time.

You may feel anxious, under pressure, have low mood, be overwhelmed with thoughts and feelings, or simply feel unable to move forward with your life.

I am currently providing online counselling sessions (via Google Meet) for young people and adults.

Please contact me or visit my website (see link above) and we can discuss how counselling may help. I look forward to speaking with you.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified, accredited integrative counsellor and clinical supervisor.  I am a Registered Member of the British Association For Counselling and Psychotherapy - MBACP (Accred).  In addition, I have undertaken advanced training in counselling children and young people and trained in 'Walk and Talk' outdoor therapy. My experience is primarily in providing online and face-to-face counselling to young people and adults, in educational settings, for the NHS, national charities and through my private practice - Complete Counselling and Supervision.

I use an integrative approach which allows me to tailor the counselling to the individual, and use elements from different counselling approaches.

I also offer a free initial information session, up to 30 minutes, so we can discuss if counselling may be right for you.

Continuing Professional Development

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is very important to me and I ensure I attend weekly CPD workshops. A sample of some of the training/workshops I have attended include:

  • Online, telephone and face-to-face counselling
  • Adverse childhood experiences
  • Advanced training in counselling children and young people
  • Advanced certificate in online and face-to-face supervision
  • Anxiety disorders (general and social anxiety)
  • CBT interventions
  • Depression and distress

Member organisations

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
