Sharon Breen BSc (Psych) Adv Dip PGCert MBACP (Accred)
Has the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic affected your mental health? Or maybe there's been something on your mind for a while that you'd like some help with? We're all struggling with a changed world which can be stressful and unsettling. I offer online or phone counselling for anxiety, negative thoughts, low mood, trauma, loneliness and stress. It is friendly, calm and reassuring. I have lots of experience with those new to counselling too. Give me a call today to discuss your needs on 07852 464345.
You may be feeling stressed, overwhelmed or just keen to make some positive changes to your life. We all have challenging times. Sometimes it's enough to have a coffee with a friend and talk things over. At other times, you need something more, and that's where I come in. I help people feel less worried, stuck and unhappy. I have helped hundreds of people just like you. Some have come with anxiety, depression or low mood, others with low-self esteem, bullying, body image, relationship issues and a host of other things. Sometimes clients come following a major trauma or loss, other times it's as a result of more normal life events.
Whatever the problem, counselling may help. You may be finding it hard to talk to those around you because you don't want to upset them or think you should feel differentIy. I accept you as you are. Together we work to help you feel listened to, understood and make long term improvements in your well being and mental health, which can be life changing.
Having been there myself, I know how hard it can be to make your first counselling appointment. You might be anxious or worried that you will be judged or wondering whether your situation warrants counselling. I felt all three. My clients say I'm easy to talk to and they feel safe with me. You've already made the first move coming here. Why not call today? I offer a warm, friendly and confidential counselling experience. Helping people with anxiety, feelings of low self-worth and interpersonal problems are my particular specialities.
Evening and weekend appointments are sometimes available.
My fees are £65 for a 50 minute session. I can sometimes offer concessions to those on a lower wage and counselling students.

Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
