About me
Welcome to my profile and thank you for taking time to consider if I'm a good fit for you.
I help adults who are frazzled by the constant juggle of work and personal life. Who feel stressed, anxious and are struggling to gain balance and connect with who they really are. Who want a sense of direction and purpose but are lost.
Perhaps it's been so long since you felt joy or peace that you can't remember it, or maybe you've never experienced it and are wondering if there's more to life than this.
Maybe you're looking for a way to hit pause to create quiet space, and gain clarity about your path. You want a sense of direction and purpose, but right now, finding it and making changes seems like an impossible uphill battle.
Maybe you feel constantly rushed, and unable to focus on important tasks? Maybe you're prepping for a crucial meeting, sitting with racing thoughts and a pounding heart?
Do you feel constant dread in your stomach? Maybe your sleep is disrupted, keeping you awake for hours or waking you in the early hours, worrying about your endless to-do-list.
Do you ever feel lost outside of work and family? With all the responsibilities, it's hard to find time to even think about it?
Are you constantly giving yourself a hard time about what you should or shouldn’t be doing, leaving you annoyed, frustrated and wondering “is it just me?”
Do others see you as the one who "has it all together" while you feel overwhelmed inside? Is keeping up the "okay" facade exhausting?
You've likely tried talking to friends, reading self-help books, listening to podcasts, or doing yoga and meditation, but nothing has worked for you.
If yes is the answer to any of the above, I can help you to:
Feel less anxious and happier in your life by learning more about yourself, so that you can discover what's important.
Find your passion and purpose, so that you can make positive changes.
Rediscover calm, control, and fulfillment in your life so that you can find joy again in those everyday moments with your family.
Give yourself permission to slow down and prioritise what truly matters to you, so you can create more free time to enjoy hobbies and interests.
Manage stress and pressure more effectively so that you can tackle everyday challenges without feeling overwhelmed.
Learn ways to build healthier relationships with less conflict and resentment, so you can enjoy better communication and quality time with loved ones.
Work through memories and feelings relating to your past so that they are no longer as painful, enabling you to feel lighter and more able to focus on your future.
Considering counselling talking to a stranger might seem daunting, but it could be one of the best things you do for yourself. I'm often told I'm easy to talk to and that any anxiety you feel quickly fades, as I work hard to make you comfortable. You can expect to leave your first session feeling better than when you came in!
Friends and family often give well-meaning advice that might not be helpful. Many people enter therapy knowing what they want to work on, while others don’t. Either way, finding someone who you feel comfortable with is essential.
I'm an experienced counsellor with over 8 years of experience. I offer in-person sessions in Bolsover near Chesterfield and online, so you can access me wherever you are in the world.

"I would highly recommend Sarah to anyone . I was very cautious when I decided to seek help but she managed to get to the bottom of some very deep seated issues. She used her skills to gently probe and I often thought “where did that come from?” when issues came to the fore. I always felt secure in her consultations, both physically and emotionally".
