About me

Welcome to my profile and thank you for taking time to consider if I'm a good fit for you.

It’s not always easy reaching out for support, but something has brought you here today — maybe a sense that things aren’t quite right, even if you’re not sure why.

Maybe you’re juggling work, family, and everything else, but inside, you’re just exhausted. It feels like you’re running on empty, and no matter how much you do, it’s never enough?  Maybe you’ve got this feeling in your stomach that something bad is about to happen but you have no idea what that is.  Or you're feeling irritated, or just flat — like you’re going through the motions without really being there.

Maybe it’s been so long since you’ve felt any real peace or joy, or maybe you’ve never felt it at all. You’re stuck in the grind and can’t even remember the last time you took a breather. You want a break, but when you think about it, it feels impossible to find that space to think or get some clarity.

Even when you’re at home or trying to relax, your mind keeps racing. You’re caught up in constant thoughts about what you need to do, what you should be doing, and worrying about everything piling up.

You probably feel like you should be coping better, but the pressure is wearing you down. And when others see you as the one who "has it all together," it’s exhausting, because you’re just trying to keep it all from falling apart.

If any of this resonates with you, you might be considering therapy but feeling unsure or even a bit apprehensive. Considering counselling can feel daunting, especially when you're talking to a stranger, but it could end up being one of the best things you do for yourself.

Many of my clients tell me I’m easy to talk to, and any discomfort they feel quickly fades because I make it a priority to help you feel at ease. Whether you already know what you want to work on or are still figuring it out, the most important thing is finding someone you can trust and feel comfortable with — and that’s what I aim to provide.

Here’s how I can help:

- We’ll work together to clear the mental clutter and find some calm in your life.  So that you can stop feeling like your brain is constantly running a million miles a minute, and actually enjoy some quiet moments without your to-do list running in the background.

- Focus on what really matters to you, so you can start making decisions that feel right. So that you can stop second-guessing yourself and feel more confident when it comes to things like saying no to extra commitments or making time for what you actually enjoy.

- Help you break free from the pressure and give yourself permission to slow down. So that you can stop burning yourself out trying to meet everyone else's expectations and start carving out time for things like rest, hobbies, or just being present with your loved ones.

- Create space for you to reconnect with your own needs, passions, and interests. So that you can pick up that book you’ve been putting off, take up a hobby you’ve forgotten about, or even just spend time doing nothing without feeling guilty.

 - Build healthier ways to handle stress and feel more in control of your life.  So that you can get through the day without feeling like every small problem is the end of the world, and handle the daily grind without it taking a toll on your health or relationships.

- Offer somewhere where you can talk openly and honestly.  So that you can get things off your chest without worrying about burdening friends or family, and have someone who’ll really listen without judgment or advice unless you ask for it.

What You Can Expect From Our Sessions

Each session lasts around 50 minutes and gives you the space to talk, reflect, and start making sense of whatever’s going on for you. We’ll meet weekly and agree on a regular time that works for both of us.

You can expect a down-to-earth, supportive space where you can be yourself — no judgement, no jargon, and no endless nodding while you wonder if you’re saying the right thing. I won’t sit in silence staring at you (unless silence actually helps), and I’m not here to ‘fix’ you — because you’re not broken. I’ll ask questions, share thoughts, and help you spot patterns you might not have noticed.

We’ll work at your pace — whether you’re here to tackle something specific or want longer-term support to untangle what’s been building up over time. And if you’ve no idea where to start or what you need — that’s completely fine. We’ll figure it out together.

Areas of counselling I deal with

Other areas of counselling I deal with

Sleep Difficulties.

Alongside the main issues I work with, I also support women navigating the changes that come with perimenopause and menopause. These aren’t always talked about openly, but they can have a big impact on everyday life — like forgetting things you once remembered easily, feeling drained in ways you didn’t expect, and struggling to keep up with work or family. It can bring frustration, sadness, and a real sense of loss for the life you thought you’d still have.
