About me
Hello, I'm Sarah and welcome to Sarah Lemiech Counselling. I am an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist and I work with individuals in person, online, telephone and instant messaging. I am a registered and accredited member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy).
Life has a way of hitting us hard at times. It can feel heavy and relentless, like you're trying to keep your head above water. Dealing with difficult times can leave you wanting to avoid the difficulties or pain you are experiencing because it just seems too hard and you don't know where to begin. This is where counselling can help you to steady yourself and take back control of your life. Counselling with me will help you to reframe your perspective and foster your personal growth through new self-awareness, building resilience, managing emotions, improving health and living in accordance with your values. Struggling alone can be isolating and scary. Reaching out to me is a sign of strength and your first step to the life you want for yourself. I'm here to help and support you.
Please email, call, text or WhatsApp me with any questions or thoughts you may have around counselling with me. There is no obligation for you to book.
In Person Counselling
Together we can explore and reflect upon what you feel needs to change in your life. Together we can look at alternative ways of managing these thoughts, feelings and emotions. I will work with you to build a relationship of trust and respect, and to listen to your concerns and support you to see things more clearly and in a different way.
Online, Telephone, Instant Messaging Counselling
There may be many reasons why you are thinking about entering therapy, and therapy online, telephone or instant messaging. Difficulties with mobility, travelling or the pressures of work and family life can make it difficult to be able to commit to in person counselling. This is where online, telephone or instant messaging counselling with myself can make it convenient and accessible for you to access counselling, but without perhaps leaving the comfort of your home.
Anxiety - How can counselling help?
By being listened to in a safe, non-judgemental space, together we can explore your distress and work together to identify triggers for your anxiety, reframe the thoughts that keep you trapped in a cycle of worry, and support you to learn practical techniques to manage these feelings.
Depression - How can counselling help?
You will be listened to without judgement, and I will help you to explore your feelings, and support you to find your own ways of coping with what you are going through. We can also work together to look at different strategies and ways of coping. Working together I can help you to regain your self-confidence.
Bereavement - How can counselling help?
You will be listened to in a safe, non-judgemental space, so as to support you to explore the complicated and painful feelings that bereavement brings. In many ways bereavement counselling is about helping you, the client to integrate your loss into your life by validating and exploring the complex feelings of having been “robbed” of a future life with the person who has died, that bereavement can bring.
Relationships - How can counselling help?

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

How I Work as an Integrative Counsellor
As an integrative counsellor, I work by blending different psychological theories to create a personalised therapy plan, tailored specifically to your unique needs. I use approaches to address the “whole person”, that is, your mental, emotional, physical and sometimes spiritual well-being. By working this way I will consider with you how your thoughts, feelings, past experiences and current environment are all connected, and the impact they may be having on your mental and physical health. This will be a relationship of us working together to explore your needs and issues.
Integrated Counselling - A Bespoke, Not “Boxed” Approach
This style of therapy is very helpful as it is not a “one-size-fits-all” approach. It is a flexible and adaptable way of working as I can adapt therapy to your needs, not your needs having to adapt to the therapy.
