Sandra Waters Counsellor (BACP Registered & Accred) & Supervisor
Is everything feeling a bit too much to cope with? At certain times and at different life stages we can all feel overwhelmed or under pressure. Counselling can provide a valuable opportunity to look at what's going on for you and help you evaluate how you can best deal with it.
I can use my skills and experience to help you look at both past and current issues without judging you or telling you what to do. You are the expert on how you experience your life, and together we can explore what is going on for you and identify a way forward that works for you. My belief is that gaining insight into how past experience has built your present allows the freedom to make choices on how to shape the future. I see myself as a guide who can respectfully suggest possible routes you might like to take, perhaps offering different perspectives, but always being aware that it's your journey.
I believe that counselling can help you recognise and use the strengths and the skills you've gained over a lifetime but might not be aware of. My role is to listen and collaborate with you in finding what will help support you.
I work integratively and so am able to be flexible in my work and tailor my theoretical approach to suit your needs.
I am accredited with BACP and adhere to their ethical framework.
I have many years of experience working with issues around relationship difficulties, trauma, and addictions.

I have worked for organisations treating people with substance misuse and mental health issues since 2003 and since 2006 I've worked for Guildford RASASC supporting people suffering from sexual trauma.
