About me

If you're experiencing anxiety, depression, or low self-esteem, perhaps worried about family issues or relationships, affected by past memories or present circumstances, it can be hard to know which way to turn. I offer a welcoming space where I'll listen and, together, we can explore what's troubling you.

Whatever is on your mind, I'll listen with compassion and without judgement, offering a supportive space to help you get where you want to be.

I'm an integrative therapist, which means I combine different types of therapy to focus on your individual needs, hopes and aims. I'll help you find your way through difficult thoughts and emotions, with down to earth compassion and understanding.

I offer sessions in-person in comfortable therapy rooms in central or north London; online sessions UK-wide; walk-and-talk or nature therapy outdoors in parks. Please see below for further information on how I work.

What I can help you with

  • You might be experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, difficulties in relationships, or the effects of grief.
  • Current circumstances or memories from the past might be causing you distress.
  • Overwhelming emotions or thoughts could be making day-to-day life difficult for you; you might want a calm space to find ways to understand and manage your feelings.
  • You might find it difficult to work out what you want from life, or low self-confidence could be holding you back.
  • You might want help through a particular challenge you’re facing right now, perhaps a decision, a life change or a loss.
  • You could be looking for a space to learn more about yourself, to explore new possibilities and growth.

How I can help

● Therapy can help you make sense of confusing or conflicting thoughts and feelings.

● Therapy can offer new perspectives, allowing you to understand yourself better and find new meanings.

● Insights into patterns of behaviour can be empowering, helping you to develop healthier ways of relating and to create new narratives.

● Sometimes, painful or traumatic experiences get lodged inside us. Therapy offers a way for these experiences to be spoken about and represented. When we speak, and put things in order, it can be healing.

● Many of us go through life with the voice of an “inner critic” inside us, feeling we’re not good enough. Therapy can help you gain in self-compassion and self-acceptance and this can tackle procrastination and perfectionism at their roots.

Walk and Talk Counselling and Nature Therapy

In addition to my indoor and online sessions, I offer outdoor, walk and talk therapy in central and north London parks. Being in green spaces and by water has been shown to enhance physical and mental well-being. Therapy while walking or sitting outdoors can help if you're experiencing symptoms of depression or ADHD. I also welcome clients who wish to combine their therapy sessions with the benefits of walking and talking in nature, perhaps beginning with some online or indoor sessions then trying outdoors later on. Please take a look at my outdoor therapy website (see link above) and contact me to talk about what you feel best suits you.

First steps

I understand it can be hard to look for support and choose the right therapist, so I offer a complimentary 15-minute call for you to let me know your hopes and aims. Please use the links on this page to contact me and I'll get back to you to arrange a time that suits you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
