About me
Raman Mann, Registered Member of the BACP
(Membership number 00994864)
Hi, I am Raman, a dedicated and compassionate Gestalt Counsellor, registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). As a registered member of the BACP, I adhere to their ethical guidelines and ensure a professional and confidential working relationship
I have a profound belief in the transformative power of counselling and I am committed to providing a safe and empathetic space for individuals seeking support and healing
My work involves addressing a range of concerns, drawing on my extensive training and experience. I work with a trauma informed approach with an aim to provide clients with a safe foundation to create a fruitful therapeutic relationship
Expertise in:
Domestic Abuse: I have worked closely with individuals navigating the complexities of domestic abuse, offering support and empowerment, which are vital for healing and moving forward
Childhood Trauma: My experience includes helping clients process and overcome the effects of childhood trauma, fostering resilience and self-discovery
Multicultural concerns: I am attuned to the challenges posed by multicultural elements, providing a culturally sensitive approach that acknowledges and respects diverse backgrounds and understand the complexity of navigating life as a person of mixed cultures
Family Dynamics: I assist clients in exploring and understanding family dynamics, fostering healthier relationships and effective communication within the family unit
Neurodiversity: I have had the privilege of working with diverse clients, each bringing their unique neurodiversity to our sessions. Through the application of Gestalt techniques, I am able to establish connections that transcend differences, fostering an environment where emotional and general awareness can flourish. My approach embraces and celebrates the richness of individual experiences, ensuring a tailored and inclusive therapeutic journey for each client
Anxiety, OCD, Stress and Low Self Esteem: I work collaboratively with clients dealing with anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), stress, and low self esteem, utilising Gestalt techniques to promote self-awareness and coping strategies
In addition to my counselling practice, I am passionate about child development and the journey of parenthood and the impact on family dynamics. I organise and facilitate practical training sessions for expectant fathers, where they can gain valuable insights into the practical aspects of parenting and understand the potential effects fatherhood can have on mental health
Approach:
In my practice, I employ a Gestalt approach, emphasising the importance of the present moment and the interconnectedness of mind, body, and emotions. I believe in the power of self-awareness and personal responsibility as key elements for change
Client-Centred and Supportive:
My therapeutic approach is client-centred, focusing on your unique needs and goals. I provide a supportive and non-judgemental environment where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences freely and safely
Embark on a journey of self-discovery and healing with a Gestalt counsellor who is dedicated to your well-being. If you are ready to take the first step toward positive change, I invite you to reach out and schedule an initial session. Feel free to contact me with any questions or to book an appointment
I look forward to accompanying you on your path

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
