About me

Hello, my name is Rachel.

I am a fully qualified integrative Counsellor, which means I can use a range of counselling styles with you to best suit your preference and aims from our time together.

I have experience working with adults from many different backgrounds and cultures, covering many different issues and concerns.

I understand how taking the first steps to get counselling and support can be a daunting process and choosing the right Counsellor for you is an important part of that process. I can offer you a safe, confidential, empathic and non-judgemental space to explore and reflect on the things that are worrying you. I believe that this can be achieved through the relationship that we build on together and working at your own pace throughout. Working together to help you find the answers and acceptance you may be looking for through your goals.

I am able to work face-to-face, online and over the phone offering a peaceful and calm environment to achieve this. I can offer both short and long term counselling, on a regular basis.

I am happy to offer you a short phone conversation if you have any questions about the process and help you decide if this is the right route for you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
