About me

I am a qualified integrative counsellor and psychotherapist with over 20 years experience working with adults in both organisational and private settings. I am happy to work long and short term and am currently providing online live video sessions.

I believe in the benefits of talking therapy or counselling at any time when we are struggling with life. In a completely confidential setting, we can all benefit from a moment to perhaps take stock of what is happening, understand ourselves better or simply release the stresses and strains we face. My counselling and therapy offers you a private and safe setting for this - where the focus is about you.

My approach

I trained in integrative psychotherapy which offers me a way of working that respects that not all people are the same and that not one way of working will work for everyone. I believe that each of us brings a unique set of circumstances, or way of seeing the world and, as a therapist, I am there to hear and see things from your perspective. In this way, I hope to be able to support you in an empathic way.

Training, qualifications & experience

I first studied psychology gaining a BSc hons Psychology which began my interest in therapy. I went on to study psychotherapy with the Metanoia Institute in London and gained an MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy and am a full member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)

I have over 20 years of experience working with adults on a wide range of issues.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

UKCP
UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

You will be able to ask any questions in order to decide whether I am the right therapist for you.
