About me

If you are struggling with your mental health and have tried, unsuccessfully to overcome this by yourself, then you may have made the decision to enlist the help of a mental health professional. I am a dedicated and compassionate psychologist and psychotherapist with a deep commitment to helping individuals overcome challenges and achieve personal growth. I specialise in providing evidence-based treatments and creating a safe space for clients to explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviours.

My therapeutic approach: My clinical approach is integrative, drawing from a range of modalities including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), person-centred therapy, solution focused and mindfulness-based techniques. I believe in tailoring treatment to the unique needs and goals of each individual, fostering a collaborative and empowering therapeutic relationship.

I prioritise creating a warm, non-judgmental, and empathetic environment where clients can freely express themselves. I firmly believe that therapy is a collaborative journey, and I strive to empower individuals to tap into their strengths, discover their inner resources, and develop effective coping strategies for long-term well-being.

Throughout my career, I have worked extensively with individuals facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, self-esteem, and life transitions and have helped numerous clients navigate these complex issues successfully.

Education and Qualifications: I earned my Doctorate in Psychology from Coventry University, where I developed a strong foundation in various psychological theories. Additionally, I hold degrees in counselling and psychotherapy, as well as psychology.

Professional Affiliations: I maintain active memberships in professional organisations including the British Psychological Society and the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, allowing me to stay abreast of the latest research, advancements, and ethical guidelines in the field of psychology. By engaging in ongoing professional development, I ensure that my practice is grounded in the most up-to-date and effective therapeutic approaches. I look forward to working with you and supporting you on your journey to personal growth and well-being.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
