About me
About Me
I am Michelle. I am a qualified counsellor based in Chatteris, Cambridgeshire, offering support to adults in Chatteris, March, Huntingdon, Ely and surrounding areas.
How I Can Support You?
Are you struggling with anxiety or depression? Do you have low self-esteem or struggle with difficult life events? Perhaps you are experiencing distressing challenges such as bereavement, loss or relationships. If so, I believe I can help you.
I provide a safe, supportive and confidential space to help you work through whatever is troubling you. If you are unsure about why you feel the way you do, we will work together to unravel what is happening for you.
As a qualified counsellor, I will guide you in an exploration of your thoughts and feelings and help you work towards increased self-awareness so that you can build resilience and have coping strategies for now and into the future.
My goal is to support you to:
gain clarity by understanding what is causing your distress and how it is impacting your life;
find perspective by exploring different ways of thinking to uncover the root causes of your challenges;
feel empowered by building self-awareness to take steps and regain a sense of control and calm; and
rediscover balance so that you can learn how to feel calmer and be at ease with yourself and the world around you.
As your self-awareness grows, you will have the opportunity to see your life with a clearer understanding. You can reassess what truly matters to you. Find out if your values and beliefs truly align with the person you want to be, and make positive changes that boost your self-esteem, confidence, and overall happiness., moving you towards being the person you want to be.
I provide short or long-term counselling, depending on your individual needs.
My Approach I offer a flexible, collaborative approach based on a trusting and caring therapeutic relationship. My foundation is talking therapy and I integrate various therapeutic styles, including SandStory™ therapy, to meet your individual needs. Our work will be at your pace, focusing on what feels right for you. You control the process, including how many sessions you would like.
Taking the First Step
Counselling is a process to which we will both be committed. Reaching out for support can be daunting so I offer a free 15-minute chat before we begin working together. Once we start, you are in control of the process. Feel free to contact me by email, phone-call or text. If you leave a confidential message I will return your call promptly.
