About me
Feeling anxious? Overwhelmed? Not sure what to do next? Let me help you find your way through the volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity of life.
I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process.
My purpose is to help you make positive change to your life, and my core values are integrity, humility, empathy, courage and justice, and most of all caring for others.
I am licensed in the UK with 3 years of professional work experience. My main experience is working with cancer patients, including those facing end-of-life, and their family members. I also have experience in working with people with anxiety and depression, and those experiencing work-related stress, relationship issues, and survivors of domestic and sexual abuse.
I work in an integrated way, combining a person-centred approach with cognitive behavioural therapy, psychoanalysis, transactional analysis and solution focused brief therapy, all delivered in a totally non-judgemental way and tailored specifically to meet your needs.
I run my counselling practice part time. I am also a civil servant. Prior to that, I held leadership roles in the NHS, local government, the private sector; and the voluntary sector where I was also a unit manager, leadership coach, ambulance crew and a volunteer first responder. I was an army reservist for nine years, serving as a combat medical technician. I am passionate at helping people in public service solve their issues and improve their life.
I am also a stroke survivor.
I work online and by telephone counselling, adopting the most suitable approach for your circumstances. For a no-obligation discussion please call 07762 943773 or email me using the contact form above. If I am with a client please leave a message and will get back to you as soon as possible.

The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society

In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
