Hi, I'm Mary and I work in a person-centred and practical way , so if you are looking for a way to feel better today, contact me.
I've been working with people seeking to improve their lives in various ways, for many years, and a few years ago I decided to study psychology at the Open University and then studied the Human Givens approach to emotional well-being. I completed the diploma course which I passed with Merit and then went on to pass the Post-graduate diploma to become a Human Givens practitioner, accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
If you come and see me I can help you feel better that very day, even if you are feeling excessively depressed, anxious, had panic attacks, post- traumatic stress disorder, phobias or other emotional problems for a long time. I will also address addictions and eating disorders, low self-esteem, self-harm, poor concentration and poor sleep patterns.
I have taught the Alexander Technique for many years, and also worked with a charity for homeless people and both these occupations have increased my interest in people from every walk of life and in every condition.
I enjoy working with all ages from children, 7 years old is my youngest to date, to the more elderly, 84 years old my oldest.
Myself, I enjoy music, gardening, walking, dancing, singing, reading and lots more besides.
I have 3 children and 2 grandchildren and love living by the sea.
I am a member of the Human Givens Institute and the European Therapy Studies Institute.
Since the Covid pandemic is going on so long I have finally decided that I will do online sessions. I needed to check that it was a practical and helpful way to work and I have now been convinced that it is, and as so many people are really finding things very hard just now I feel I have to make myself more available.
