About me

If you or your child are struggling to manage thoughts and emotions, or you are feeling stuck in your life or in your relationship, we can work together to find a way through whatever is going on for you. Having the opportunity to explore worries, emotions and feelings can help you to move on and find a healthier way of being.

I am a BACP accredited counsellor working with adults, young people and children over the age of 11 in private practice and through my work as a Lead Counsellor at a group of independent schools. I am a Person Centred counsellor, also offering solution focused work.

Taking the first step into counselling can feel daunting. My role is to provide you with a caring, safe, non-judgmental and respectful space where we work together to build a good relationship to enable you to feel understood and to help you to process whatever might be feeling challenging.

Sessions are generally weekly after an initial session where we can establish whether we are a good fit for each other.

Training, qualifications & experience

  • Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling
  • Level 3 in Counselling Skills

  • Training in Brief Solution Focused Therapy
  • BPS Approved Certificate in CBT for Children and Adolescents
  • OCST Online Counselling Skills Certificate
  • Online Therapy Institute - Certified Cyber Therapist - Young People
  • Training in Rewind technique

I have also attended numerous training sessions including those on anxiety, depression, suicide, self harm, and performance coaching.

I have 10 years experience of working with adults, children and young people through work in private practice and as Lead Counsellor at a group of local independent schools.

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
