About me
Taking the first step into counselling can feel daunting, but often when life feels difficult, the most helpful thing can be to talk to someone who is not involved in any other area of your life. My role is to provide you with a caring, safe, non-judgmental and confidential space where we will work together to build a good relationship to enable you to feel understood and to help you to process whatever might be feeling challenging.
It may be that you are feeling stuck in your life or in your relationship, or experiencing anxiety about something specific - or just life in general. It may be that your child is struggling to manage thoughts and emotions about school, about friendships or about the future. We can work together to find a way through whatever is going on for you or your child. Having the opportunity to explore worries, emotions and feelings can help you to move on and find a healthier way of being.
I am a BACP accredited counsellor and supervisor with extensive experience working with adults, young people and children over the age of 11 both in private practice and through my work as Lead Counsellor at a group of independent schools where I work with both pupils and staff. I am a Person Centred counsellor, also offering solution focused work. I work with clients experiencing a wide range of emotional and relationship issues, and work short or long term.
Sessions are generally weekly after an initial session where we can establish whether we are a good fit for each other.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
