About me
Hello, I specialise in helping couples to save their relationship, stop arguing and fall in love again. Couples counselling in Leeds and online.
I can help if you are struggling with:
- Conflict and distress
- Affairs and betrayals
- Sex/porn addiction
- Relationship crises
- Reactivity and arguments
- Polyamory, ethical non-monogamy, open relationships
- Sexual problems
- Emotional wounds
- Divorce, separation and endings
- Ineffective communication
I am passionate about helping people have deep fulfilling loving relationships. I help you to feel more connected to your partner, increase your intimacy, get back the passion, have more sex, and get back the love that you once had for each other.
I am a Relationship Therapist and Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT).
I use Imago Relationship Therapy as my main relationship model and integrate my extensive knowledge of CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Compassionate Focussed Therapy (CFT). A flexible, adaptable, and effective approach that is tailored to meet your unique needs.
I am trained in and personally practice conscious relating practices (Non-violent Communication, Authentic Relating) and I draw upon this in my work coaching clients to develop more effective communication skills to get what they need out of relationships.
I also help individuals to heal trauma, improve their self-esteem, love themselves, and communicate compassionately so that they can have loving relationships.
If you are struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, stress and burnout. I can also help. I have 10 years of experience working in mental health settings. I am especially interested in the interactions between relationships, mental and physical health.
I am trauma informed and have extensive experience of working with trauma - both as part of my own healing journey and with many clients.
I am a strong advocate for relationships being a very important factor in the development and maintenance of mental health issues, and that building healthy relationships is vital for long term wellbeing.
I am passionate about my own personal development and healing journey. I believe that we all have a healing journey and mental wellbeing is a lifelong practice. Life is precious, short, and full of suffering, and the more we heal the more we will get out of life.
Everything that I offer to clients has been extensively road tested by me. I find it a virtuous cycle - the more I heal and grow myself the more I am able to help clients AND the more I help my clients the more I grow.
