About me

Hallo and welcome to my page.

I understand that life can be really challenging; we all can feel overwhelmed at times and in need of some help. I enjoy the process of working with you to help you to grow and develop to your full potential.  No matter the situation you find yourself in, I am here to support you.

I am especially passionate about working with trauma and I am confident that I will be able to hold whatever you bring to the room. I have personal experience of trauma, loss and bereavement which I believe gives me understanding of how you are feeling and enables me to sit with you with the pain of it. I know how overwhelming it is to function in a new world which is dramatically altered. I have experience of working across a range of other issues such as loss and bereavement, anxiety and depression, trauma, self-harm and suicide ideation, low self-esteem, relationship issues, sexual identity, neurodiversity and BPD.

I am a qualified counsellor and I offer a confidential, safe, and non-judgmental space for you to begin to explore your thoughts, feelings and emotions about any issues you are experiencing. You will be free to talk about whatever is troubling you. I will listen and support you, and I will not judge you or tell you how to lead your life. We will work at your pace towards the goals you would like to focus on.

You will hopefully gain more understanding about yourself, your situation, and the way you relate to others by exploring your process. I will suggest techniques or interventions which will hopefully enable you to gain a deeper understanding of yourself and I will encourage you to find your own solutions.

You are unique and so I offer counselling which suits your needs. I understand that you may not know what help you need or who to talk to. I therefore offer a free initial 20 minute telephone conversation to help you decide if you would like to try therapy sessions with me. If you would like to get in touch, you can text, call, or email me. I aim to respond within 24 hours.

I offer face to face sessions in lovely rooms in the centre of Basingstoke as well as online sessions. If you are ready to make some changes in your life, please do get in touch.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
