About me
Do you live with the impacts of trauma or an overwhelming experience? Maybe you feel stuck with feelings of depression or anxiety and this has taken the joy out of your life? Or do you simply just want to reconnect with life in a more nourishing way?
I'm a warm, down to earth, empathic counsellor and nature connection guide, offering a safe, confidential and compassionate space, while supporting you to explore what's most needed.
About you
Maybe you're suffering from chronic stress, anxiety or depression or a whole host of other painful feelings like sadness and fear, anger, helplessness or numbness? Or are you finding it hard to deal with the current challenges within our world?
Chronic stress is becoming more and more common and this has a profound impact upon daily life. It changes the way you relate with yourself and others, makes life feel like a constant challenge, it also effects health.
Imagine how would it be, if you could process past trauma or current chronic stress compassionately? I can help you by teaching some simple psychoeducation and self care techniques. Which are aimed to support you to regulate, meet and relieve stress within the nervous system. While you discover inner resources and skills that support your ability to navigate daily life with more ease, connection and well-being.
My Approach
My approach is person centred, I believe kind, non-judgmental, honest and respectful relationship provides the right conditions, for our innate capacity for healing to thrive. As you explore what's most needed, I'll empathically feel and listen as you share. I'll often guide you to notice physical sensations, thoughts and feelings. As this mindful approach supports your innate ability, to reconnect with the bodies natural healing and integration capacities.
I also work with a Polyvagal approach to counselling. Which is an understanding of how our autonomic nervous system (ANS) reacts to experiences, by initiating responses that help us navigate towards more safety. You've likely heard of the fight, flight and freeze responses.
Unfortunately; within our modern-day ways of living, it's common for these ANS responses to get stuck in the protective cycles of fight, flight or freeze. This leads to living a life, which is filled with chronic stress, feelings of anxiety or depression, fear and isolation.
This is significant because sometimes our nervous system becomes stuck in chronic defensive patterns, where our healing capacities, ability to thrive and enjoy life is profoundly reduced.
However; when we do feel safe our body-mind naturally feels nourished by this. We are then able to feel more connection, ease and well-being and our body-mind naturally heals, repairs and digests life's experiences.
With a polyvagal approach to counselling, you can learn to become more aware of this process and develop new skills. Skills that support your body-mind to reconnect with safety, connection and well-being.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
