Linda Gillham BA Hons MBACP (Accred) CTA(C) Counsellor
I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor offering short and long term counselling to support people to make the changes they want in their lives.
How can counselling help?
I offer a warm, non judgmental, empathic approach. We can work together, at your own pace to think about how you can deal with the issues you are facing in a different way and help you to understand what is happening, why it is happening and the changes you could make. I work primarily using transactional analysis which is one of the most accessible type of counselling, offering a space to promote personal growth and change. You can read more about transactional analysis here: https://www.counselling-directory.org.uk/transactional-analysis.html
How does it work?
Finding the right therapist is important. After initial contact by email or phone we can meet and discuss the areas of your life you are struggling with. If we decide to work together we will then find a convenient slot to begin working together, (this doesn't have to be at the same time or day each week).
I have over ten years experience in a range of issues. My background is in the NHS, schools and charity settings. I work with people individually and in groups who are experiencing anxiety, anger, depression, stress, low self-esteem, separation and divorce, behavioural problems, relationship difficulties, employment issues, family issues and transitions including military personnel.
