About me

I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist who feels passionately about supporting others to recover from mental health difficulties.  My area of speciality is working with children, young people and their families across the broad range of mental health areas. However, although I have particular expertise in this area, I am able to work with people of all ages and regularly see adult clients.

I work therapeutically using a number of approaches, including; Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Mindfulness, Systemic approaches, Solution-Focused, Acceptance and Commitment (ACT), Compassion Focussed and Narrative therapies.  Often an integrative model of treatment is developed to best fit the unique presentation of the young person.

I am highly experienced in specialist neurodevelopmental conditions such as Autism and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and have trained in 3Di and Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS-2) specialist assessments.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have worked in the NHS since 2005 and received a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Southampton University in 2010. Until recently, I held a Principal Clinical Psychologist role within the NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services in Hampshire.
