Hi, I’m Kharis Miller.

You may be wondering whether counselling is for you? Or whether you're ready for it? Perhaps you're feeling apprehensive about whether it can help you? I understand all of the above. To extend my understanding I will offer you a free initial chat and free consultation to clear up any of those niggling questions.
It's likely that at some stage of life, counselling has been portrayed as a stranger in a room with a mysterious clipboard and an intense stare. Whether this depiction is accounted to a movie or a lived experience, sadly these misconceptions create barriers for those needing therapeutic support.
I'm here to dismantle those misconceptions. I have had the pleasure of working with hundreds of people over the years from all backgrounds and walks of life. Whether you are in pursuit of engaging in short-term, long term or open-ended counselling, please be assured that no issue is too big or too small.
Counselling to me is so much more than my profession, it is my passion. I am enthusiastic about helping individuals cultivate the tools to foster healthy mental and emotional transformation. As an integrative counsellor, I assimilate a range of therapeutic approaches such as; psychodynamic, humanistic and cognitive behavioural therapy to help you break free from the presenting issues in your life.
One of my faith-informed beliefs is that irrespective of life's adversities, there is hope for each of us. This hope enables us to overcome hardship and healthily renew our ways of thinking, being and doing.
In addition to my counselling practice, I am also an Educational trainer offering a range of workshops around themes such as but not limited to; psychoeducation, cognitive behavioural therapy, self-esteem, Christianity and mental health. Workshops are available in group/organisational settings and will be available from 2024.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

I offer online, remote therapy. We can work over MS Teams or over the phone. An all-online practice means that wherever in the world you are located, I'm a tablet, laptop or phone call away.
Fees:
- £45* (discounted rate available when paid monthly).
- £50 for one off counselling session
Limited concessions are available to students and those in receipt of universal credit (must provide supporting evidence).
