I aim to offer a warm, non-judgmental and supportive space to explore thoughts and feelings. I am here to help to facilitate and foster growth, recovery, feeling able to have the capacity for difficult feelings and healing. I am patient and empathetic and invested being alongside you in the therapeutic journey.

I offer long or short term counselling and psychotherapy.

I can help with:

  • Help understanding and managing anxiety and depression.
  • Help managing panic attacks.
  • Working with those with suicidal thoughts.
  • Support with feeling stressed and overwhelmed.
  • Understanding and managing conflicting feelings inside.
  • Working with low self-esteem, low self-confidence.
  • Working with shame.
  • Inner child work.
  • Understanding and healing from childhood trauma.
  • PTSD. Recent Trauma.
  • Relationship and family issues.
  • Abandonment related issues.
  • Work or exam stress.
  • ADHD and autism.
  • Identity issues. Loss of identity. Dealing with change.
  • Bereavement.

Whatever your situation may be, I will value you as an individual.

I have an MSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Keele University and am registered with BACP. I also have a certificate in Counselling from the University of the West of England.

Training at a low cost counselling service offering short and longer term counselling for NHS IAPT and low cost clients, I have helped people from many different backgrounds.

I have supported people with different cultural and religious backgrounds and identities, and respect diversity and inclusivity.

After a few sessions, clients nearly always tell me they have a better understanding their often overwhelming feelings and problems, and have found sessions have helped them find their own clarity, solutions and healing, as well as relief from their emotional pain.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have an MSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Keele University and am registered with BACP. I also have a certificate in Counselling from the University of the West of England.

Previous to training as a Psychotherapist I worked as a Key Worker for young adults with learning disabilities and mental health struggles. I have also worked in pressured office environments and understand some of the stresses and strains that go on alongside that.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
