About me

Hello, Welcome to my profile.

I hold online sessions, specialising in generalised anxiety disorder and currently working to support those feeling isolated and anxious by uncertainty.

My usual focus is on helping people who feel overwhelmed by daily stresses and pressures to feel better and lead a more balanced productive life. Issues may include anxiety, problems with relationships, Generalised Anxiety Disorder and panic attacks.

Offering a warm and supportive approach, I provide a confidential and non-judgemental space in which to talk. With training and experience in the main evidence-based psychotherapies, I work in a flexible and collaborative way, tailoring your session to your specific needs, ensuring your voice is heard and respected.

I work with a wide range of issues ranging from relationship problems, anxiety, depression, unwanted thoughts or behaviours, or who simply feel ‘stuck’ in their circumstances. I am familiar with issues related to work stress and other professional challenges. My approach is to explore the root causes of issues in the context of a supportive relationship. I am committed to giving each person I see a thoughtful and professional experience of therapy within a non-judgemental confidential and trusting environment.

Being a member of The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) I work within its ethical framework. More details can be found here: www.bacp.co.uk.

I am experienced at supporting University students at all stages of their studies and am trained to work online to offer a continuation of sessions during the holidays.

Sometimes the hardest thing about Counselling is making the initial decision to ask for help. I offer a free 10 minute session to all new enquiries to provide you with the opportunity to talk to me and ask any questions you may have.  This can be over the phone, FaceTime or Skype.

Wherever you start from, I will be there to help you on your journey to a healthier, more fulfilling life, for as long as you need my support.

If you are interested and would like to know more about how we could work together please visit my website www.kayvickerscounselling.com

Thank you.

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
